“Parousia” was my word for the day and for a lifetime. The Lord has given me this before and I have written about it, but when it came the first thing in the morning, I knew there was more to be revealed. So open the door to your mind and let your heart feel the Lord’s heart as you allow your spirit to ascend. There are many Greek words that were transcribed “coming” by those who translated the Bible, but the Lord’s ““Apokalupsis,” His “Epiphaneia,” “His Phaneroo,” His “Erchomai,” His Heko, and His “Parousia” are NOT all the same. His “Parousia” is the enveloping presence of Christ-…. the GLORY of His presence. It is actually NOT his “coming,” but His actual presence. It is life IN His presence, even the ongoing, progressive, unfolding of Himself to and in His people.
For some time I have been asking God to give me revelation concerning Matthew 24: 27: “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west, so shall the coming (parousia, presence) of the Son of Man be.” I give thanks to J. Preston Eby for bringing out that lightning doesn’t ALWAYS come from the east to the west: The coming of a new day does. The word “lightning” in this verse is the Greek word ASTRAPE and means a “bright shining of light” and is also found in Luke 11: 36: “If my whole body therefore the full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the BRIGHT SHINING (astrape) of a candle doth give the light.” It can not be translated as the “lightning” of a candle, eh?
Do you realize how we shall all be made alive?: It is IN and BY and THROUGH the enveloping presence of the Lord. The Greek word “resurrection” means the “whole process of advancing and rising up until the highest realm is reached.” Mary and Martha were looking toward a literal day when their brother would be resurrected, but Jesus told them: “I am the resurrection.” The life that quickens (makes alive) our mortal bodies is not something outside ourselves, but IN US. 1 Thes. 5: 23-24 states: “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless onto the coming (parousia) of our Lord Jesus Christ.” The word “unto” is the Greek preposition “en” which is equivalent to the English word “in.” There is a huge difference between being preserved blameless “unto” (sometimes translated “until”) the coming (parousia) of the Lord, and being reserved blameless “in” the presence of the Lord. It’s by His abiding presence that we are kept and preserved, not by a sudden appearance.
Since God has given me the word “parousia” several times, it is clear He desires a greater understanding of it. There are several other scriptures that “parousia” is used as “coming” instead of rightfully translated as “presence” that I will be looking at in the days ahead, as translators have done us wrong in not bringing out this meaning and the meanings of the other Greek words all transcribed as “coming” and “second coming.”
I titled this post: “What Do You Expect?” and am asking you now: “Do you know by REVELATION what to expect? The Word of God must be made alive to and in us by the Holy Spirit, and thank God, He has promised to perfect what concerns us. Verily in the end, His presence of bright shining light will fill us, keep us and preserve us with the day star arising in our hearts. “For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God… for those who have His abiding presence and glory in them…. Yay, Christ in us is the hope of glory, but Christ AS us IS the glory.” (Romans 8: 19)
Oh brethren, THIS is what I’m expecting, like a pregnant mother ready to give birth…. How about you? Are you pregnant too, awaiting Christ’s crowning in YOU? If so, I say: “Glory! Glory! Glory! The Lord Jesus Christ is coming (parousia)…. in us!! I thought this writing was ready to be published, but I found myself singing: “The dawn is coming!” and again: “The dawn is coming!”
Oh brethren, it is! The Sun of righteousness is rising up in the “Parousia”!

I think those who are seasoned in scripture usually understand the overall concept of the phrase of scripture, and overlook the small details, such as “lightning”, and especially “coming”. It takes revelation and understanding to search for the depth of any word to get it’s “juice”. Thank you Michele, this is enlightening.

Thank you so much for this comment Pedro. I credit J. Preston Eby as probably the greatest juice squeezer I know. I have received his writings since the 1980’s and no matter how many times I go back to read them, there’s more juice, more meat,…. Nah! It’s a banquet feast. His series called “Looking For His Appearing” is where I learned about the lightning and about the various comings that were lumped into the “second coming” which has caused so much confusion. It’s very, very lengthy as he is a true scholar, not of men’s institutions, but schooled by the Holy Ghost. If you have the time to read it or even skim it, I believe you’ll be blessed. https://www.kingdombiblestudies.org/Looking/Looking1.htm
How grateful I am that we can receive from one another.
Bless you Pedro.
