A Life Speaking Tongue And Pearly White Teeth

“Sharp Teeth” and “Sharp Tongue” always traveled together. The people who lived in “Merry Land” shuddered whenever these two came into town because they had tongue-lashed and bitten many. This time it was going to be different though because a new King named “Noble” ruled the land, and he was just like King Solomon of old who had great wisdom. When the people cried out asking him to tell them what to do, he gave them manna that was made with honey. When each of them ate it, a tree of wisdom grew in them and whenever intruders who had evil intentions came into the city, wisdom would materialize covering the people’s identity. Instead of fruit, the tree had reflecting mirrors on it, and whoever looked at the mirrors saw themselves as they really were. And so it came to pass that the people ate and grew strong.

How shocked “Sharp Teeth” and “Sharp Tongue” were when they looked in the mirrors and saw all the people in them that they had injured, as well as their own hideous faces. They tried to flee out of the land when what they saw convicted them of all their wrong doings, but they couldn’t. All the people had surrounded them, and there were so many trees clustered tightly together that no path was open for them to go on. They began to shake as they saw tongues and jagged teeth coming through the mirrors at them, looking like they would strike and bite THEM.

And then a voice came from every tree in unison: “What is your name?” it commanded, but the question was being asked to the demons inside of them, not them. How shocked both of these two were when they heard the demons reply: “We are the “Tormentors of Mankind”…. The one in “Sharp-tongue” declared arrogantly: “My words penetrate and wound the hearts of men!” and the demon in “Sharp-teeth” fiendishly laughed and shouted: “And I bite and devour them!”

The demons they never realized that were there were exposed before their very eyes. The two of them screamed: “Help! Help!” as the “Tormentors” tried to choke them before they could call on the name of the Lord, but it was too late. The King had arrived on the scene and gave the command for the “Tormentors” to: “Get out!” and out they went. You who read this story shall see them burning in hell soon enough.

Such a simple tale this is, but it’s the story of mankind: The tongue is what gets every man in trouble, coupled with an unloving heart which manifests itself through teeth that bite and devour. Have you looked in God’s Word that mirrors all that’s in you? Have you eaten from the “Tree of Life”? Ah, if you have and do this diligently every day, you shall have pearly whites and a tongue that will do no harm-…. a new tongue that will heal you and all who hear its words. It’s time to be healed my brethren!!

“If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the body.” (James 3: 2)

“The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 15: 4)

  1. Galatians 5:13-15
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
