Last night the Lord asked me: “What is your most prized possession?”
My answer was “You, Lord!”, but He wanted another answer, and the immediate thought that came afterwards was that it was my heart.
How would you have answered this question? Is there anything else more valuable? Hear what the Word of God has to say about it: “Above all else, guard your heart, for EVERYTHING you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4: 23) The Bible says that we will find God when we seek Him with all our heart, (Jeremiah 29: 13) and that when we trust Him with all our heart submitting all our ways to Him and lean not on our own understanding, He will make our way prosperous. (Proverbs 3: 5,6) If we keep His commands and teachings in our heart, He will prolong our lives many years and peace and prosperity will come as a result of it. (Proverbs 3: 1-2) “BLESSED are those who keep His statutes and seek Him with all their heart. (Psalm 119: 2) There is no doubt in my mind at all now, that there is nothing more important than our hearts.
God gave a second witness of this truth today. My family doctor believed I might have had a condition that required surgery, so this morning I was in the office of a surgeon to find out about it. So after she gave me the diagnosis that I did not need surgery, praise God! Hallelujah! I found myself calling out to the Lord to show me the way to reach her heart with the gospel. I confess that stern looking people who are not the sweet, soft, motherly type aren’t easy for me to approach, but oh my! How quickly the Lord put it in my mind to ask her: “Do you know what the best surgery is?” That very professional, somewhat staunch looking face took on a quizzical appearance. “What?” she asked with sincere curiosity.
“It’s the circumcision of the heart. Have you had it?” I asked, and whoo whee! God showed up! Oh people of God: We, who are TRUE JEWS, are the heart surgeons this world has been waiting for, because we have the Word of God that’ll cut off their flesh. Yes, yes, YES, the heart is the most valuable possession anyone has:… THE CIRCUMCISED HEART!
The Lord is wanting every one of us to examine ours now, to know if we have one…. and if not, there’s a remedy: We can pray: “Create in me a pure heart oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” (Psalm 51: 10)
And He will do it!

Good for you.
I would be terrified if Jehovah, Jesus and The Holy Spirit were out of my life for one second.

Truly, without God we are dead men walking. I am so thankful for the fear of the Lord in our lives.
God bless you my brother, and your walk of holiness.
