But A Worm

I saw Satan striking my face over and over again and I heard the Lord say: “Satan has battered you, Michele, but you shall rise up and defeat him.” Then I pictured the seed deep within me as a worm being transformed and afterwards, ascending up as a butterfly. Then the words of David came to mind: “But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.” (Psalm 22: 6)

A worm, according to Ellicott’s commentary is “an indication of extreme degradation and helplessness, yet God tells all who spiritually bear the name “Michele” (She who is like God- GODLINESS): “Do not fear you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel! “I will help you.” (Isaiah 41: 14) I am fully aware that our true identity is Christ, but the MANIFESTATION of the life of Christ is another matter, and it can be hindered because it’s dependent upon our dying daily. The worm has got to die!

A subscriber sent a comment on yesterday’s post “When The Burden Gets Too Heavy,” sharing that she had just witnessed a young man tripping and falling because he had not seen the roots of a tree that had broken through the sidewalk…. Ah, brethren, we stumble because we get sidetracked by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,… especially by appearances. The Bible states that “a just man falls seven times,” (Proverbs 24: 16) and I believe that after our last fall, the roots of that tree will be plucked up, and it’ll be resurrection time!” How careful we must be not to judge anyone when we see weakness or even sin in that person: Look at David who was a man after God’s own heart even though he committed grievous sins.

Yes, we are disintegrating worms in our flesh not looking good to carnal men, but in the Spirit, we are new creatures full of power and all that Christ is. Hallelujah that the law of life is setting us progressively free from the law of sin and death, (carnal mind/death mentality,) and soon,…. VERY soon, the fullness of Christ will appear in God’s overcomers…. Some are even now in the final stages of death. How important it is to understand that we can not be resurrected until we are dead, dead, DEAD to self’s rule. It’s impossible for a half-dead person to resurrect, so tell me: Do you know anyone who doesn’t still have some carnal thinking operative in him or her? I sure don’t!

You, who are Pharisees pointing your fingers at me and others in our dying state, believing that we have no faith…. You, who think we are not worthy of honor, hear this: In Jesus’ last hour before He died, he cried out: “My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me?” How much more will we do so? I realize that He cried out for a different reason than us, but everyone who is in the final moments of dying, is a woman in travail, giving birth to the baby of new life. Don’t you dare beat up that woman in your mind, believing if she had faith, she wouldn’t be crying out. That woman is destined to be crowned with glory! Hallelujah!

God uses insects and animals to relay spiritual messages for us to learn from them, and to me, the transformation of the worm into a butterfly is one of the most inspiring and WONDERful messages of all. It lets us know that God’s lowly ones who have put their trust in Jesus will be raised up in the end, and will not only be ruling ones (Monarch butterflies), but bread for the nations. Oh yes, they’ll be transformed worms made into the bread of life, just like our Lord.

Hear it Bill Gates! The people of this world aren’t going to be eating your measly “in-sects”…. Bread and meat will be their food, and the will of God our Savior will be done when they eat His word to the full! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! The Lord Jesus Christ shall reign in His people!
