“Bestial’s” eyes were intent on “Compassion.” He desired her as his own, but an invisible wall hindered him from getting near her. The same invisible wall was in his own heart, but he didn’t realize it because he was spiritually blind.

“Bestial” was beastly in his thoughts and actions due to no fault of his own. He was born that way with murder in his heart, and oh how it seemed cruel to him that he was the way he was. He hated himself. Often he would raise his fist in rebellion to God, but deep within he had a knowing that the purpose and plan of the “Most High God” would be revealed to him, but “Bestial” did not not want to be changed. He knew that his will was the only thing that was his, and without words, his whole being shouted: “By God, I’m going to keep my will. It’s mine! It’s mine! It’s MINE!!”

“Compassion” loved him and all of mankind, and was very aware of his thoughts because he had been her prayer assignment from the first day she met him. The angel “Mercy” had instructed her: “Anyone you pray for with intensity of heart, you will come to love deeply. Know that it’s only intense compassion that will make a difference: You can’t change anyone, but your prayers have the power to bind hindering forces and to activate the helping power of angels. You must be diligent because the forces of hell are against “Bestial,” and all who are like him.”

“Compassion” understood what was at stake and was obedient to do what “Mercy” had instructed her. As she prayed, a miraculous seed was formed within her secret place that had great power. The living Spirit in “Compassion” drew the seed with whirling force up into her mouth. “Speak it out,” he commanded, “and know, even believe with wonder producing faith, that the words you speak will cause the seed to grow.” As soon as she did this, the seed grew to become a gigantic cherry tree right in front of “Bestial”’s startled eyes.

He stood before it with his mouth wide open in astonishment, and while “Bestial” didn’t like cherries, the ones on this tree had a special power that drew him to them. “Taste and see!” they all sang in the most glorious harmony ever heard. When the beautiful melody kissed his ears, a deep hunger grew in him to eat the cherries. However, he couldn’t, because his hands were bound behind his back, and he had no way to pluck them. His stubborn will was the force that had bound him, and only his will could lose him.

So there he sat under the tree of life getting hungrier and weaker every day. His ears became so deaf because of his unbelief, he couldn’t hear the trumpet of God blaring its call to “Repent!” However he was soon to learn that God answered “Compassion”’s prayer to open his ears and his eyes. There was a prince inside of “Bestial” who was appointed to come out of hiding when “Truth”’s cherries were eaten and he repented.

It was “Mercy” who came to him on the day he cried out to God, unable to bear his sorrow any longer. She came as a bright light with the power to heal his heart and to open his blind eyes. “Man becomes what he eats and you’ve been eating the fruit of death far too long. I’ve been sent to you to to tell you that you must eat these cherries and bear its fruit.” Then “Mercy” plucked a handful of the blessing and with great tenderness gave the cherries to him and his hands became miraculously untied. As soon as he ate “Truth”’s cherries, he was instantly changed and a crown was placed upon his head with his new name called “Belonging” on it. Finally, his will was surrendered, and he was “one” with all who follow the Lamb and do His will, not their own.

Can you see him now? He’s got a belly full of joy along with all the other “Belonging Ones.”…. Hey! Hey!” they’re shouting: “We’re serving ‘Cherries Jubilee’ for dessert! You who are hungry…. you who want life: Come and eat!”
