This morning when I took communion, the Lord stopped me just as I started to break the bread and brought someone to my mind who had hurt me. He gently let me know that I, like Him, was to forget the sins that had wounded me… that I needed to cast them away as far as the east is from the west. Immediately a vision came of me with a cup of His blood in my hand that I poured over the one whose sins I hadn’t forgotten. I was instructed to pour that same cup which was now filled with oil into his wounds as he had been hurt, too. I knew in that moment that this oil would be poured into my wounds as well.
The cup in the vision had the same appearance as my white measuring cup which has a handle and no visible measurement lines on it. I believe the message being conveyed is that we must grab hold of the handle of forgiveness and that it can not be given in measure… in 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 or 3/4 of the way. When we forgive 70 x 7, there truly IS a balm of Gilead-… there’s healing, comfort and rest for us.
After communion, I heard the word “Kylie-blessing” and in the past, I would think of the retribution of bad things when the Holy Spirit brought the word “Kylie” to my mind which means “boomerang.” How wonderful to know that there’s a good boomerang return of healing, restoration, blessing and more when we forgive and when we bless.
I believe that one of the reasons that the Lord gave this vision to me was so that I would be fully armed when the devil comes to tempt me to remember what I’m called to forget…. It’s been made clear to me now that I must cast down the thought of offense the INSTANT it comes. Maybe there’s someone in your life that you also need to forgive, and if so, you’ve been given a handle on making things right.
Oh the blood of Jesus: It’s the greatest Valentine’s message ever! If we all become lovers and forgivers of men through this power, we’ll have more than a happy Valentine’s day.
We’ll have a happy life!
