After I got the word Parousia in writing my allegory this morning, I was led to search for a deeper understanding of why this word was given. This is what I discovered:

The Parousia is a life in the presence of God… “It is the enveloping presence of Christ and to stand before the Son of man is to awake to the WONDER and glory and majesty and power of His PRESENCE.” (J. Preston Eby) …. It is the ongoing, progressive unfolding of Himself.

I Thes. 5: 23-24: “And the very God of peace sanctify you holy; and I pray your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless IN (not UNTIL or UNTO) the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”

There is a huge difference between being preserved UNTIL the coming of the Lord as has been translated in most Bibles, and being preserved IN the presence of the Lord. The Greek word “EN” in this scripture should be correctly translated “IN”. The words that mean “until” (mechri, heos, achri) are not found in this passage.

Sooo my little allegory was used as an eye-opener for ME!
